Ear training, rhythm and harmony, on a path built for you in two minutes. It plays you a little music, you sing it, tap it or find it on the keys, and it picks your next step.

How it works
A note, a beat or a few chords. Short and clear, in the style of music you like.
Sing it, tap it or pick it. Every exercise feels like a little game.
It listens, shows you how you did, and gives you the next small step. Every day, a bit further.
And it’s all shaped around you: your instrument, your voice range, your key, your favourite style.

Three pillars, one musician
Great musicians train three things together: their ears, their timing and their understanding of harmony. Tune Trainer trains all three, with 100+ lessons that climb one small step at a time.
Your ears learn to know what they hear: high or low, which note, which chord. Step by step, until you can write a song down just by listening.
The pitch detector follows every note you sing, live. Too low, too high, right on: you see it, so you learn to feel it.
A band plays a song. You find the key, then write its chords bar by bar on a chart. The skill behind playing by ear.
Your hands learn to lock in with the beat. You start by tapping beat 1, and end up taking grooves apart and keeping time when the click goes quiet.
A drum loop plays. Mark where the kick, the snare, the hi-hat and the congas land on the grid. Your ears learn to hear every layer.
The click drops out, you keep going. Every tap is measured to the millisecond, even on the silent beats.
Your head learns how music is built: scales, chords and the way they pull to each other, on a piano you can play and with a band you can hear.
Take a note, skip a note: watch a chord appear on the piano, and hear why it sounds the way it does.
Raise one note of the minor scale and a new colour appears: harmonic minor, seen on the keys and played by the band.
The research we built Tune Trainer on, in three lines:
Fifteen minutes a day beats two hours on Sunday.
Spacing practice out is one of the most robust findings in all of learning science: 317 experiments confirm it.

Talent is overrated. Deliberate practice isn't.
The landmark study of elite musicians found that what set the best apart was how they practiced, not gifts.

You’ll never be lost
No more wondering where to start. Jam with the band for two minutes: Tune Trainer listens, finds your level in rhythm, ear training and harmony, and draws your own path, step by step.
Listen to a short piece with the band, then answer three little questions: the odd chord, the kick, the tune.
Your steps across the three pillars, each one starting where you’ll succeed. The first exercise is free.
In the app, your path shows what you’ve mastered and what’s next, and opens each step when you’re ready.
